Representation

"A very important part of the work of the CVS is to act as a 'channel' of communication between local voluntary organisations and official or statutory bodies"

Warrington Council for Voluntary Service acts as a representative for and on behalf of, the voluntary sector in Warrington.

We do this by taking on an active role in over 40 key forums and partnerships.

By carrying out the role of representative we are able to keep the voluntary sector in Warrington and it's surrounding areas, informed and visible.

Warrington CVS facilitates the Warrington Network which is open to all voluntary and community organisations working in the Warrington Borough area. These meetings are held 4 times a year.

The Network elects 15 representatives to the Network Hub which meets regularly to consider the business of the Local Strategic Partnership, known as the Warrington Partnership. Three members of the Network Hub are elected to represent the sector on the Warrington Partnership Board.

The Network Hub also considers other matters of strategic importance to sector organisations locally.
